Do you find yourself staring at a computer, unsure of where to begin? You’re not alone! Many beginners struggle with using a computer, from turning it on to completing basic tasks. But don’t worry, this introductory course will make using a computer easier.

  • Saturday 11:00 until 1:00

Life in the modern age can be challenging for adults who are not familiar with computers. Technology plays a significant role in nearly every aspect of our lives: we rely on it for work, school, staying connected, managing day-to-day tasks, remote education, and even online shopping. An email address is essential for signing up for new services, making online purchases, applying for jobs and educational programs, and communicating with friends and family. Even something as simple as finding a suitable local tradesperson is more efficient when done through an online search rather than looking in the yellow pages.

However, as smartphone technology has continued to evolve, many older adults report feeling a lack of confidence and knowledge when it comes to using

these devices. Created and offered for Older Adults is an age-friendly technology education platform that combines student-centered instruction, guided practice, and interactive tutorials to help older adults learn more about their mobile devices.

You will also develop digital resilience, enabling the transfer of skills and knowledge across various devices and applications.
